Impossible to delete demo item [Solved]

Hi,

 

I downloaded and installed Prestashop v.1.4.7.0

 

Several demo items are included in the downloaded shop.

Then I added some of my own items

 

Now, when I tried to delete the demo items from one category :

- if the demo item still also belongs to another category : the deletion works well

- if the demo item belongs only to one category, the deletion is impossible, and I get an error message.

 

I thank you in advance for any help in this matter.

What is the error message. As a workaround try adding the demo item to another category, then delete.

The error message is very simple :

 

"An error occurred during deletion"

 

I found a way to overcome the problem by just checking inactivate in :

Admin Panel > Catalogue > Product > Info

 

But I would prefer to really delete the item.

Is the product you are trying to delete in a default category or in a category you created? Upload some screen captures from category and product page to somewhere and post the links here or PM me some credentials for BO)

Check to see if there is a demo order for that product cancel the order then you can delete item.

I had the same problem. You have to go into the product and change the combinations so there is 0 stock on hand.

It should delete then when you try.

I deleted a demo order and therefore was able to delete the demo product.
