a module that takes the credit card info but only sends it to the shop email

Pascal,

They ADVERTISE a product on a HELP FORUM that does not answer the question.

Secondly Presto-Changeo offers NO SUPPORT. So the poster will waste the time of any person who wants a real solution. A company that deals with credit card information and yet has no immediate contact number??????

I for one will stay away as a consumer from any company that uses them.

The module I referenced does exactly what the OP was asking for, capture credit card info for offline charge.

NO Support?? we have one of the best support of any module shop, we also offer live chat support during normal US business hours.

We do not offer phone support, but respond to all support emails within 24 hours (usually within 1-2).

It seems like you used our live chat, and wanted phone support, which we do not offer.

You can vent here as much as you want, this is a free forum :) , however, you should do some research about a company before dissing their customer service, and making wild and false accusations about their customer service.

You're basically saying that one of the top contributors to the forum (with over 7K posts) offers no support, you only make yourself seem a bit silly...

Pistolpete,

Actually Presto-Changeo does not deal with credit card numbers. You do ( or the end user of the module does). I have bought modules from several different developers and I can tell you that their support is the best. I actually have bought this module, I asked a couple questions about it before I bought it, received a response from Tomer in 2-3 minutes.

I think something that was not pointed out that you did bring up though, is that the module does not email the credit card information to the shop email. The module does not do that, if your credit card processing (or the other guys) company ever found out about you doing that, you would not be processing credit cards anymore. Its not pci compliant, it is not good practice. Email accounts get hacked all the time, do you know what the liability is for a retailer per credit card number they lose? Its around $1000 usd per card number. 10 cards, with an average sale of $50 on the site is $500, lose those card numbers to a hacker and it costs you $10,000. He recommended the right solution, not the solution that the person asked for.

I think besides and maybe including Bruno, Tomer knows Prestashop better than any developer you are ever going to run across. Their support is bar none.
