Handling VAT with PrestaShop

Hi,

 

I am having some issues with setting VAT on my Products.

 

My current setup in 'Taxes' is:

Enable Tax: Yes

 

The price is coming up as VAT inclusive, however this is problematic for

1) Businesses buying my Products as they would want to be able to reclaim the VAT

2) People buying from abroad, as they can be VAT exempt.

 

 

How should I handle this issue in the PrestaShop backoffice?

Hi Michael,

 

Unfortunately Prestashop does not hanle VAT exempt at the moment. We had to customise such a feature for one of our client.

 

You need to integrate VAT validation service where you will ask customer entering their VAT number, validate it before deduct VAT amount from total.
