Disabled postal code - can register but can't log in?

Hi,

So I disabled a postal code field in the registration form and in theory I'm able to create a new account. However the only confirmation I get is email confirmation and it redirects me to the login page (rather than My Account page).

 

This is where it gets weird. Despite the fact I get an email confirmation (Welcome! email) I'm unable to log in. Also I checked customers tab in the Back Office and the account I just created isn't there. So in the end I get a confirmation via email but the account doesn't really exist.

 

Please note it works perfectly fine when postal code is enabled.

 

I also use MyOwnDeliveries module, perhaps it has something to do with it? http://addons.prestashop.com/en/shipping-logistics/20[spam-filter]myowndeliveries.html

 

Any ideas how to fix it? There are no postal codes where I live.

Hi,

How did you disabled it, by editing the relevant country and making the postcode not required or did you modified some template etc?

 

Yes, I made the postcode not required in Back Office -> Shipping -> Countries. I didn't modify any code.
