very slow website due to huge categories and products

Recommended Posts

Hi Friend,

Kindly set force compile option to no. If you made any changes in theme that time only for first run you have to set it to yes. Once you set it to no then check site loading time. If its still take more time let you know. I will provide other solution.

Thanks

Well if you want to increase site load time, maybe you should switch to Magento :P (I'm here all week folks!)

But if you want to speed up your site loads, the first thing I would suggest is that you enable your shop for the United States, as right now I can't yet access it to test things out for myself.

Please let me know once you've done that and I'll be happy to take a look for you.

Dear Mike,

Thanks for response and good one you said if I want to increase site loading time then go for magento... :D

Actually I want to reduce site loading time. So that pages will load quickly. I have tried many things to do it but no sucess. First time when we open a site it will take upto minuite to load but once it loads and if we close brower and reopen it then site loads within a second. But actually this thing happens with homepage not with product catlogs pages.

I have given access to us ip's. Please have a look on it.

Thanks for kind support. Wish u nice time ahead.

Regards

Hi Vilas,

I ran some tests using Firebug, and it appears that the delays are actually a server-side issue, as you can see here. In short, the purple bars represent server loading times, while the grey bars represent PrestaShop loading times. I would recommend that you contact your hosting provider and give them this information to see what they would recommend to speed up your site.

I hope this helps.
