taseaford
I installed the new default theme and was making the configuration tweaks suggested in the readme. After changing the image sizes I went to regernate the thumbnails only to be given the following message: Cannot writeproductsimages. Please check the folder's writing permissions. I've looked around using my FTP client, but I can't seem to find the folder it's talking about. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them... Thanks! davebox
Hello, did you figure this out? I have exactly the same problem when regenerating thumbnails: " Cannot writeproductsimages. Please check the folder's writing permissions." I've read virtually every thumbnail related post on this forum and tried many different things (including regenerating .htaccess, changing permissions to 777 etc.) but cannot figure this out. This is getting quite frustrating as I have over 550 images loaded. Would appreciate a little help to diagnose this. Thank you.
davebox
I attach a screenshot of what I see, in case it helps. Certain thumbnails I can regenerate, some others I can't. Also tried to add all the following stuff to my php.ini but it didn't help. Thanks ------ ; Allow files to be uploaded file_uploads = On ; Allow external URLs to be opened allow_url_fopen = On ; Disable PHP register globals register_globals = Off ; Enable GZIP compression at the default level zlib.output_compression = On zlib.output_compression_level = 6 ; Load mcrypt extension extension=mcrypt.so ; Disable PHP magic quotes magic_quotes_gpc = Off magic_quotes_runtime = Off magic_quotes_sybase = Off ; Load PDO MySQL extension extension=pdo.so extension=pdo_mysql.so ; Set memory limit in megabytes memory_limit = 128M ; Set maximum execution time in seconds max_execution_time = 120 ; Set maximum file upload size in megabytes upload_max_filesize = 32M ; Set maximum post size in megabytes post_max_size = 32M ; Set maximum input time in seconds max_input_time =

davebox
This is the answer I got from Bluehost: It is not installed. It's not something we can install due to the nature of Apache running on CentOS on our servers Is that good or bad? Thanks
phrasespot
Is that good or bad Neither. Just that it cannot be the cause then. Cannot writeproductsimages. Please check the folder's writing permissions. What is the version you have installed?
toninovak
I am having the same problem. Switched to the new image file system and got a success message. Some of my images are not showing for some products so I tried to regenerate thumbnails but get the message: Cannot writeproductsimages. Please check the folder's writing permissions. My folders are all set to 755. We also use Store Manager by MagneticOne and they keep telling me we're using the old file system even though we've changed over. Is anyone else having this issue? I need to launch this site and need this resolved ASAP.
