NorthCol: Issue with SSL, some pages don't load

I currently have the NorthCol theme installed (from http://prestashop-planet.com/). It works fine with no major problems but once I activate the ssl from the hosting account, by rewriting the urls to use the https protocol instead of http, some pages of the theme no longer work. The thing is that certain pages load but there is no content in the page (header & footer loads, but no content in middle).

 

I submitted a ticket to prestashop and the assured me that the problem was my theme. When I contacted the theme developers they said because its a free theme they don't give technical support for it. So now Im in between a rock and a hard place.

 

I really need some help fixing this. Because I have the ssl certificate but can't use it because of the theme...It may be some security fixes that its missing but I not sure and don't know where to start.

 

Someone please help me fix this problem.
