Mike Kranzler
Hi fredsshed, This is usually a server-side issue. Call your hosting provider and ask them to enable the missing PHP mbstring module, and that should resolve this for you. I hope this helps. -Mike
fredsshed
I have tried Zen Cart, OSCommerce and now PrestaShop. Every time there has been issues which everyone says is due to my host 1&1. I've spent hours on the phone to 1&1 trying to get them to change server settings etc. but they just fob me off by blaming the shopping carts. I'm now realising 1&1 are pretty useless and don't really care about their customers. Am I waisting my time with 1&1? and would I be better off moving my hosting to another supplier and if so can someone recommend a decent host? Mike Kranzler
Hi fredsshed, Everyone has their own choice, but I prefer HostGator. In my personal experiences, I've found their default server configurations to be ideal for the majority of PrestaShop users, and more importantly, their support team is more knowledgeable about PrestaShop than most. I hope this helps. -Mike
Carolina Custom Designs
I completely agree with Mike on Hostgator. I've only had one experience with 1&1 and Prestashop and let's just say it wasn't a very good experience. I recommend to this client that he move his PS away from 1&1 too. Mike Kranzler
Hi ijasnijas, Please try replacing your modules/blockcart/blockcart-ajax.php file with the attached version and let me know if that resolves your issue. blockcart-ajax.php -Mike
