A Couple of suggestions for PrestaShop

Recommended Posts

I came across PrestaShop a few weeks back and as soon as I saw it I thought wow this looks much nicer in it's basic form than OS or Zen do.

Then I got in the back end and again thought wow this is nicer than OS & Zen to!

I have one suggestion though as I have found 1 navigation thing annoyingly missing.

I think PrestaShop should come with and the PrestaShop makers should think about adding as standard a "Home" link so it appears on all pages of the cart in order to help navigate the shopping cart better. Presently I find I am having to use the site map link to then use the "Home" link to navigate to the store index page.

It might also be nice for those who do not install the cart on their root but use a sub directory if such a feature was configurable accordingly.

I have another suggestion RE the correct use of English on the "Login" or "Register" page as presently 1 word needs removing for it to read correctly in proper English.

If any developer would like the heads up on that please don't hesitate to contact me.

Other than that PrestaShop is marvelous, I Salute the developers on a job well done!

Clicking on the logo or on categories will get you "Home".
What you mean is something that osCommerce has, but this is PS.

If the English translation is not correct then change it and send it to the PS team, they will add it (hopefully) to the next release.
Or create a BUG report for it.

I do not mean something that OSCommece has, I mean a "Home" link is standard on most websites. To compare a home link on PrestaShop and say it is a feature of OSCommerce, is rather missing the point of the good accessibilty suggestion I have tried to offer as something I think should be included as standard as most websites do.

Many people do not know to click on Logos and look for a "Home" link even I foget sometimnes and I do web design and SEO!

It is good accessibilty standards to have a home link as standard.

An example that springs straight to my mind is my own mother she does not know to click images and logos and would automatically look for a "Home" link so it is is far from a "feature" of OS is is merely just good design practise.

I mentioned osCommerce as an example.

If you want something added to PS then you need to file a BUG-report or a Feature-report.
