wriring permissions denied after migrate to new server (same domain name)

Hi!

I am bumping into the following problem for days now. Cannot figure out.

I moved my shop to new server ( keep same domain name) , installed, upgraded to 1.4.7 without problem.

All is fine, but I cannot upload any image ( i've tried, logo, icon etc..., new product image...basically everything).

My host advice to set permission to 777. I did that during install/update but obsviously resetted everything back to 755 folders and 644 files.

You will surely agree that I cannot let 777.

 

For info I've installed 3 CMS ( WPress) and get the exact same problem.

 

Of course settings.php is configured according to new server.

 

Does anyybody got the sale problem...and solved it ?
