[SOLVED] Backoffice displaying incorrectly

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I use PS 1.4.6.2

I just successfully moved my shop out of development area and onto live website (by changing the base URL).

However, the backoffice no longer displays correctly, which makes using the backoffice a little difficult.

old development URL - http://it.jeyjoo.com/avc/prestashop/

New website URL - http://www.varaldocosmetica.it

Can anyone advise please.

Hi jeyjoo,

We're in the middle of doing some edits to this, but can you please check our guide here to ensure you've followed all of the necessary steps for moving your site?

I seem to have done al of this. The problem occured the instant I transfered the shop.

the folowing warning appears on my back office homepage.

You are currently connected with the following domain name: it.jeyjoo.com

This domain is different from the main shop domain name set in "Preferences > SEO & URLs": www.varaldocosmetica.it

Click here if you want to modify the main shop domain name

However, as suggested above, to "modify the main shop domain" would be essentially going back to the development URL! Varaldocosmetica.it is the new domain.

If it helps i can post a screen shot

And is this a brand new site, or is it one that has been live before and then upgraded?

-Mike

The site was live before but built in Joomla (by a different company), and on a seperate server

I developed the site ona seperate server with Prestashop. The old comapny (who have the domain) have simply redirected the DNS to my hosting.

Hi jeyjoo,

In your config/config.inc.php file, can you please set "display_errors" to "on" and then reload the page and let me know if you get any error messages?

Hi Mike,

I have done this but no change. I still get error messages, and the backoffice is not displaying.

I still logon to the admin panel via http://it.jeyjoo.com/avc/prestashop/admins/index.php

Should I logon via http://www.varaldocosmetica.it/admins/login.php ??? (in which case how would I set up a new logon.

Thanks

It wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I would try it with your existing login information first, actually. There's no reason why it shouldn't work there.
