dancerdee
I have transfered a dummy site to the correct folder on my server but now it doesn't look like the one I was editing. It has all the default settings back on and all the products I added have disappeared. Anyone any suggestions? would really appreciate help!! www.worldofirishdancing.com disaster! musicmaster
Your explanation is rather short: - Where was that dummy site first? On the same server? Or on another computer? - If it was on another computer: did you transfer the database too? - What do you mean by transfer? Copy all files? Mike Kranzler
Hi dancerdee, As musicmaster said, we will need more information than this to help you resolve this issue. Can you please provide the information requested above, along with your old and new URLs? -Mike
dancerdee
Hi apologies! the dummy site was www.deirdredowling.com the new site is www.worldofirishdancing.com The dummy site (www.deirdredowling.com) was in public.html and the new site is in public.html/www.worldofirishdancing.com The new site was recently transfered to me. I backed up the dummy site then copied all the files from public.html to public.html/www.worldofirishdancing.com Some of the changes i made are visable but all the products are back to the default ipods etc. Also when I checked my site on a pc browser, the home page seems to be all to the left and not centered. appreciate your help! thanks
Mike Kranzler
Hi dancerdee, Can you please make sure you have followed the step-by-step directions here to see if maybe you missed a step along the way? -Mike
dancerdee
Hi I have completed those steps although i had some issues with Enabling SSL If your site has a full SSL Certificate, then you can also enable this via your PS admin under "Preferences page -> Enable SSL: Yes". The attached image came up. https://www.worldofirishdancing.com/admin14/index.php?tab=AdminPreferences&token=ae481a3768f57de22114579361daf0db My site still has the default products. I dont know where all the products I have edited have gone. And also I need to edit the home page where it has a display of ipods and the ad on the left is disportioncate thanks
Mike Kranzler
Hi dancerdee, Have you already purchased an SSL certificate from your hosting provider? If not, then that step won't apply to you. In terms of the default products, this appears to be a database-related issue, so you'll want to contact your hosting provider. And as for the iPod display on the home page, you can modify that in the Home Text Editor module through your Back Office. -Mike
