claybourg Posted February 20, 2012 Share Posted February 20, 2012 How do I set up free shipping on a specific item without impacting the rest of the items for which shipping charges are applicable? In OSCommerce this is done by setting the weight of the item in question to zero, does Prestashop work the same way or else? For Prestashop developpers, you should add an on/off option within both the category and the item setup "Free shipping X". Applied to a category, all items set under that category would receive free shipping, applied to a single item, only that item is exempt of shipping charges. tomerg3 Posted February 20, 2012 Share Posted February 20, 2012 You'll need to get http://www.presto-changeo.com/en/shipping-modules/47-fedex.html You'll have the option to select which products, categories, manufacturers or suppliers (by ID) will have free shipping (per each carrier). This gives you the ability to offer free shipping on selected products only for ground shipping. If there are other products in the cart, then shipping will only be calculated based on the extra products (the ones market in free shipping will not be included in the shipping estimate) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

RWH Posted July 20, 2014 Share Posted July 20, 2014 (edited) Hi, I have a similar issue with shipping. I want to be able to offer free shipping on certain items, for specified periods of time. IE: cell phone cases (which are very light weight and small) will be free shipping until the end of the month, and then after that time shipping will be charged at the regular rate. I currently use Canada Post as my only shipper. I use PrestaShop 15.0.17 How can I set this up? Please help with this issue if you can. Much appreciated.
