Well, as you mentioned on the product page there's an option from which customers can order more than one item of the product. In addition to this you can set discounts that will apply when the customer orders more than a certain number of items (e.g. 5). You can do this from the backend of your PrestaShop. After you log in, go to the Catalog tab and open the edit screen for the particular product. The edit screen displays seven tabs with product options. Click on the tab Prices. Right under the tab there's a button called Add a new specific price. This will display some additional options which you can use to set a discount for the particular product. You can set for which users and countries you want the discount to apply, you can set a minimum number of items which the customer has to order in order for the discount to apply, and you can set a period for the promotion (if you don't specify a period it will be unlimited). You can also choose whether you want the discount to be in terms of percents of the regular price or in terms of amount.

After you do this, on the product page of the frontend a new section will be added (Quantity Discount) informing the customers about the discount.

This, of course, will not add a second "Add to cart" button, but it's a much simpler solution to what you want to do.
