elund
I cannot update danish languages files (da.php) for modules. Actually I can update some of the languages files but NOT all. Ownership and permission for the files and folders are OK. And I don't get any error messages when clicking "Update translation". Nor when I activate debug info in config.inc.php. Any ideas for debugging or a solution for this problem?
phrasespot
Check your server's post/requsest limits settings. If running you may be triggering a mod_security rule. If running you may be hitting some suhosin max_vars setting.

phrasespot
Thanks for your answer :-) Here are the settings for my I am not able to se if there is anything wrong with that. It is better to not disclose that info. Remove that file. Besides it will not tell you what you need to know. Ask your webmaster or hosting company the questions I asked in my previous post. elund
The hosting company has just answered that post_max_size er 200MB (found via phpinfo), so I don't think they understand your questions :-( Could you please remove the link to my phpinfo in your quote? phrasespot
I don't think they understand your questions Is modsecurity installed/active on the server? Where does it log? Where is its configuration? Is suhosion installed/active on the server? Where does it log? Where is its configuration? Either of those could have configurations that will cause the problem you are seeing with a submission the size of translations submission. Could you please remove the link to my phpinfo in your quote? Oops sorry, done.
elund
ModSecurity is NOT installed on the server. Suhosin is installed with default settings.
elund
Yes, error found :-) The standard value (1000) for http://www.php.net/manual/en/info.configuration.php#ini.max-input-vars was exceeded. @Phrasespot, thank you very much for your effort. tomerg3
Is this happening only on certain modules? If so, can you try to open the language file for one of the modules via ftp, save it and upload back to the server, see if you get a permissions denied error. elund
@tomerg3, thanks for your reply. Yes it was only happening on certain modules, but I have found the solution. Read my previous post ;-)
tomerg3
Good stuff, you should edit the first post and add [solved] to the title.
