mylesk42
Hello, When I want to put a product (mp3 in this case) for download from the product page, a message "The maximum size for upload to your server is: 500MB" is displayed. However, the download seems to crash from 45 MB Is this a problem or upload script against the server? thanks
Mike Kranzler
Hi mylesk, In this situation, I would recommend that you contact your hosting provider to see what could be causing this issue. It is possible that this is due to an issue with your timeout value, but they should be able to answer this for you. I hope this helps. -Mike
tomerg3
I would say it's almost certainly a timeout issue. You can check out this module http://www.presto-changeo.com/en/prestashop-modules/38-batch-downloadable-product.html which lets you upload files using FTP and assign them to products. mylesk42
I've questionned my host provider and am waiting for his response.I understand well your offer but I want to make sure the problem comes from my host and not from the upload prestashop script. The mention in the PS back-office (500 Mo upload) is tied to Prestashop script or the upload size to my server ? Regards

The mention in the PS back-office (500 Mo upload) is tied to Prestashop script or the upload size to my server ? Regards That is the maximum upload allowed by PrestaShop according to your server settings. But as tomerg3 and I both mentioned, this appears to be an issue with your timeout value, which separate from the max_upload value. You could have unlimited upload permissions, but if your timeout is set to 30 seconds, it will die before the upload is completed as soon as it crosses that 30 second barrier. But if your host changes that value for you, that should fix it. -Mike
