Using Groups/Attributes as a block

Hi,

 

I am new to this cart system. Is it possible to use Groups/Attributes as a block instead of creating categories. For example: My products have color attributes/group. Can I display a Color block so users can find products based on that group? I hate to create categories and manually add products for each category.

You probably want to use a filter for that.
