Diemux
Hey guys, I'm busy with updating my prestashops, they have different versions and they are all live. What is the best way to do a "dev" version of a running/live prestashop website? I did make a snapshot copy of the presta files en database and then I copy those in a dev invironment. But devving takes a while so how to keep up with the changes on the live webshop? (New orders, products etc). How do you guys do this? Are there migrating/syncing possibilities? shacker
for the shops, i upgrade only if have problems in the shop. If th eshop works ok and not need more options, i let with the current version. If you update and have custom theme, maybe new options dont work, or 3rd party modules, so upgrading all the time is not easy. WIth autoupgrade its fine, the module show what files are changed. Diemux
Well sometimes you just need to update, newer version tend to fix security bugs and the speed of prestashop. Biggest problem I currently have is that my shops have versions from before the new image structure. I need this feature as I want to use MagneticOne storemanager.
