EAN13, ajax search by part of the ean code (blocksearch module)

Hi.

 

I'm looking for a way to use the search module (blocksearch) to show results for ean13 query with ajax by entering n numbers. Right now the ajax dropbox is show only after entering whole ean (like 9788360803523). I want it to start ajax search after entering any part of the ean (like 8836).

 

Why can I search like this by name, but not ean? It looks like somebody used "searchquery" instead of "%searchquery%" but I can't find it.
