methods of payment at the checkout

Recommended Posts

Dear members of the Prestashop Forum.

I apologise firstly if this post is in the wrong section.

I have browsing forums and the Addons section over the last few days trying to find an answer to a question which I have.

I work for a small ( 5 employee ) company based in the UK. Our current website payment methods are to pay by card (debit or credit). The customer basically fills out a form (similar to a contact form) for there address details and card details. When an order comes through we print an order and process the payment here in the office using a card machine.

We process orders in this way because our customers will often e-mail us with products changes. Which means that we can adjust the order totals before finally taking the payment.

I have been looking into completely redeveloping the company website for a while now, and would really like to use Prestashop for it ease of use. But when I look at the payment methods they all look a lot more complex often taking money there and then from the customer for example (bank wire) , which thus goes straight into the companies bank account.

My question is, can we retain our current method of manually taking payment in the office with a Prestashop eCommerce website.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Kind Regards Alex

there is a module called offline credit card, which will do exactly what you want. during check out, the customer will provide the card details, and they will be stored within you shops database.

you then have the ability to process the payment using your credit card transaction "offline", using your existing merchant terminal. then you go back into the prestashop order and mark the order status as paid or failed etc..

Hello Bellini13

Thank you very much for your reply! That's fantastic new!

I have done a search in the Addons section for "offline". The search returned several results one of which is called " Module HTML5 offline application for backend " I have read through the instructions and the details, would this particular module do the trick?
