[SOLVED]Prestashop installation problem 3rd step

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am trying to install Prestashop v1.1 on Windows XP sp3 with Wamp5 v1.4.5 and i have passed the 1st 2 steps of the prestashop installation process but on the 3rd one "System configuration" i have added my info aka the database server name , database name , the username which is my default one root and a password that i have set for it. when i click on the button to verify the information no errors are visible.

Then i click on the Next button to advance to next level but nothing happens the installation stays at this point and doesnt want to advance.

Any ideas why could this be happening ?

I have the same problem that the installation process from step 3 is not going. The database query with the button "Verify Now" yields the message "Database is connected", then releasing the button "Next" is only a short-term action of the animated gray bars (top right) but you do not arrive on the next page.

On the webserver is running PHP 5.2.5 and mySQL-5.0.32, the database was checked by the provider - is okay.
The Prestashop files of version 1.1, I re-down loaded already 2x newly drawn to the Web (old previously deleted files).

I'm still hopeful that one of you have an idea to solve the problem.

Well instead of using Wamp5 i installed WampServer Version 2.0 and everything went smoothly.
The installation process advances after step3 and i was able to complete successfully my installation of my prestashop virtual shop.

Dunno why i wasn't able to go through the installation with the other version of wamp5 but WampServer 2.0 seems to be working perfectly with Prestashop.

I have been backwards and forwards through these forums to try and find an answer on this before posting, with no luck. I am trying to install on Windows, IIS Server and get hung up like others at the 3rd Step - System Configuration. It recognizes the database and will send email without any problems but won't move past this step.

Looking at the install documentation, I see that Apache Server is a requirement, yet on the home page system requirements, it indicates that IIS 6 or better will work. I have confirmed all requirements with the host company and all should be fine.

Is there an alternate version perhaps that I was supposed to download for this environment? Your help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Kelly
