PDF open,,not download on the website

Hello,

 

 

when I choose a PDF file on my Prestashop website , the PDF immediate get download

(Google Chrome)

 

Is there a way the PDF file only open ? so the visitor can read it on the website ?

 

 

I have the same problem. In internet explorer i can choose between view and download.

It is to do with the browser, and each browser for each user can be set up differently;y so I don;t think you can force it for the user

You can disable the Adobe plugin in Chrome, which will force Chrome to download the PDF. It's under Options >> Under the Hood >> Content Settings >> Plug-ins >> Disable individual plugins

I also need to open the PDFs (invoice, delivery slip) in browser. It is very annoying to accept to save the file, than open it. It slows down our operation.

 

It looks like another window opens, then the file gets downloaded, and then closes... That might be the problem. Why not simply have the link point to the PDF URL directly???
