decpro350
While installing the software I got an error when I sent a test email. The error message read: "Error: please check your configuration Authentication failed using username 'sales wesitename.com' and password '********'" For some reason the software wasn't responding well to the "+" character in the username which is the format for Justhost mailserver account. To get around this problem, enclose the username with quotes, i.e., "sales+websitename.com".

AlanWooler
Hi all, Sorry for not responding sooner, but only just saw this and you have probably solved it by now, but in case new users find this in a search and have the same issue. Just host on their 'configure email client' page for your email client will put your username as 'username+yourdomain.com' but this is not actually your username. You need to substitute the + with the @ symbol. so your username will be '[email protected]' I spoke to Justhost about this and they said the reason they did this as if they put the @ sign on their web page it would translate it into an email link which they didn't want (just a silly excuse if you ask me). Also, for those of you in the UK who are using Just Host, I would personally advise you leaving them as soon as your contract is up for renewal. I was with Just Host for 3+ years then they started to email me about issues with my SQL databases being too large (even though they give you 'unlimited' accounts. Basically they lie and lie a lot). I switched to Vidahost and they are so much better, they are even based in the UK (both support, sales and the servers). They are a lot faster and they are very good at their support. theme_designer
Firstly, you need to confirm whether you can receive emails from ordinary way. Then confgiure the email settings in prestashop.
