How to edit site with Dreamweaver?

I like to know how to edit prestashop site installed on localhost using XAMPP. How to configure it to Dreamweaver? How to set database and testing server?

 

Please suggest.

Thanks for prompt response. Actually I am using Dreamvewer Version 8. I am unable to configure for same. It will be great if you tel me how to do it? Setting up sql database and testing server is important?

you of course will need mysql installed on your localhost. There is lots of information via 'google' on how to set up your locahost with mysql/php.

 

Upgrading to cs5, is worth it. It supports live view for CMS.

That means live view is not possible in old version? Because I have set up sever too in my old version of Dreamweaver but its shows codes only in php design tab. It not show actual page look.

 

So is that the reason?

Hi, that is correct live view is new to cs5. After you set up your localhost and dw, you can then hit pf12 and it will serve the page in your browser, running on your localhost.

Thanks. I like to know if we edit html pages in dreamweaver then if we click on design tab then it shows how page is looks. Will the same thing will happen in cs5 or it will be opened in separate browser?
