ceostos
I purhcased the ask for a quote module. I followed the instructions as suggested in the read me file. I used filezilla as the FTP source to connect to my server. I uploaded the file and can even see it already installed in the server but once I access my backoffice store and try to install it then is no where to be found. Am I missing any step in the process. You help is tryly appreciated. Thank you, Carlos
Mike Kranzler
Hi Carlos, Can you please provide a link for where you purchased the module? -Mike
Carolina Custom Designs
It is possible that the module is not compatible with your PS version. Have you tried to reset your modules on your modules page? Marty Shue
ceostos
Hi Mike, here the link where I purchased the module. http://addons.prestashop.com/en/search?search_query=ask+for+a+quote Thanks Marty, How can I do the rest of a module? Thanks, Carlos
Carolina Custom Designs
Hi Carlos! I assume you are running at least 1.4 (the module says it is for 1.4). To reset the modules go to Modules and in the upper right of the page you will see a Reset button. Just click that button then search for your module. Hope that helps! ceostos
Hi Marty, I did it but nothing happened. I am still wondering what the problem is with this module. Below are the instructions that came with the module. Do not know where am I missing a step because I technically did it step by step. I am using filezilla as the FTP connection to the server. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, HOW TO INSTALL (there is no easy way of install - by admin panel ZIP upload) 1) Unpack askforaquote.zip (what you already did as reading this) 2) connect to the server with any FTP program and navigate to your prestashop root folder (on server) 3) upload contents of folder "upload" from the file to your shops root directory on the server (NO files are overwritten) 4) go to your back Office and locate the new module called "Ask for a Quote" 5) install, configure (defaults are ok) and enjoy 6) OPTIONAL: to translate to your language you must access both "Module translations" and "Front office translations" in your Back Office! Presta FABRIQUE
As a late mainly off-line topic, but commenting the above post: whatever the module was developed by us or another developer, you should note, that it is illegal to send the downloaded ZIP file to other people. They can own it only by purchasing on any of the legal ways they are provided with!
