ERRORS: Top horizontal menu by Julien Breux+ background Image

Dear All,

Thanks a lot for the best shopping cart software ever. I downloaded it and it works perfectly. I have 2 problems ( wishing you could help as soon as possible)( I will Thank you and credit you for it ):

1) Top horizontal menu by Julien Breux: Every time I change the background color or Add a background image, the effects wont take place and the background stays white whatever I do. The only thing I can change in the menu is the Headings Font Colour. Any Help Please?

2) How can I add a background Image on all sides:

i.e. Left, right, middle, header, footer columns? Because when I add a background Image on the global.css specifically the body coding, I get the image required but It is Cut from the Right, Left, Header and footer areas where it is duplicated there. Is there a way to put a background image on each section alone.
