Multiple Add to cart Buttons?

Hi,

 

New user here. I'm getting my head around product attributes, combination , features etc.

 

My site will sell wallpaper and the functionality of the 'add to cart button' for this purpose is great.( Eg. each roll of available wallpaper will be $50) However, every design on my store will require the option for the customer to purchase or order a "swatch" (i.e. small sample) for say a few dollars.

 

I'm not sure how to implement this in prestashop. I've explored features, attributes. I can only think of duplicating every product in the store to have a 'swatch' version at its own price, but this seems to be to cumbersome. I then thought that under the 'add to cart' button, they could be a 'order a sample' button that is essentially an 'add to cart' button that perhaps adds the duplicate 'sample' version of the product to the cart.

 

Can someone please help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You could add it as a combination/attribute to the products: 'Sample size' , 'Original size'. Doesn't this meet your requirements?

Yeah that's the only way I know how as well. I was hoping there was another way as adding an attribute and product combination may only complicate things. Each of my wallpaper patterns will have several combinations as they will come in a variety of colours. I can already se the attribute options in my shopping cart going out of controll and looking a mess. Hence my search for an alternative.

 

Any other ideas?

Have you tried using the attribute/combination generator? It will generate the combinations automatically.
