Customer Messages going direct to email - can't find where to change it?!

Recommended Posts

I am noticing a gap in how the customer/order messages work in association with normal contact form submissions.

Firstly, common sense would say that all customer service communications (that is all communications from a customer to the store owner) should be managed in the customer service area of the admin. It appears that only emails sent via the contact form go there. It would be ideal to have all other messages go there and be tracked there as well.

Secondly, and more importantly, emails sent via the customer message box in the order history are being sent to an old email address that I can NOT find the setting for!! Right now the contact infomation is set to go to [email protected] under "shop email address"

Under the email tab is says:

Send e-mail to:

When customers send message from order page

And "Customer Service" is selected.

Under Employees -> Contacts I have "Customer Services" set to [email protected] and webmaster to my company email address.

All emails from the contact form go to the appropriate [email protected]

The issue is that all customer / order messages are going to [email protected] - this is an email address that I can not find anywhere at all as a setting in the prestashop database.

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?!

ok WOW.. another hidden email related setting. They really need to straighten out this dashboard. The settings for things are all over the place.

In that module it says that those emails are sent for low inventory alerts, so are you saying it also controls the customer messages??? If so that is another fail on the UI of the dashboard.

I have already read that thread which was of no help.

I just did a complete database search for the email that these messages are going to and it literally only exists in the database in two places - in customers (as a test customer account) and under employees (which is correct because this is that employee's own personal email)
