Add to cart button and cart disappreared

Hi

 

I'm a newbie and I was going great guns until last night and now I feel like I have wasted so much time I need help.

 

I have added my products and attributes etc and yesterday I was able to click on the "add to cart" button and the products went into the cart. I was doing a bit of tricking around with discounts etc at the time as well. But now when I go into any of my products I only have the option to choose "add to wishlist" and I can't even see the cart block anymore. I'm not sure if its because my stock is zero as I'm using a drop shipping company? But it was zero yesterday and I was able to use the cart. I feel like I have clicked on something but I can't figure out what.

 

Can anyone please help I'm going a bit brain dead now.

One other thing how do I change the products and text on my homepage?

Hi LittleBee,

First of all, welcome to PrestaShop! I'll be happy to help you with this, but please don't post private information like your Back Office info here on the forum. In the Preferences section of your Back Office, can you please make sure you have your shop enabled?

 

 

And as for changing the products and text on your home page, you can do that in your Back Office by going to the Modules tab, finding the Home Text Editor and then clicking "Configure."

I have the shop enabled in the preferences section? But still not working?

 

I have figured out how to change the text on the homepage but when I try to upload a new picture it doesn't show and I can still see the original photos of phones from the prestashop theme?

Under Preferences > Performance, please enable Force Compile and disable Caching, and let me know if it works any better for you after that.

no still no cart but when I disabled cache I got this error message

I wouldn't worry about that right now. However, I do see your image on the home page now, although it looks like the text hasn't been changed yet. You can do that by editing the Home Text Editor module as well.

 

And as for your shopping cart, please go to the Modules tab, and under Front Office Features, please confirm that the Cart Block is properly installed.

I've uninstalled the cart block and re-installed it, still not getting the option to add to cart?

 

I've changed the text on the home page but I still can't change the picture, when I upload a picture in the homepage logo option it shows my picture in the configure page but when I go to the shop it still shows the theme picture of the phones?

Is this not what shows up on your end for the home page?

 

 

As for the shopping cart, can you please go to Modules > Positions in your Back Office and let me know where (if anywhere) the "Cart Block" is hooked?

So sorry in the delay in getting back to you on this I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to work on this,

the cart block is hooked to the right column and the header of pages
