Pepozzo
Hello! I'm using Prestashop 1.4.6.2 with only italian ed english languages enabled. I've created a robots.txt (where i've deleted row "Disallow: /it"), a valid .htaccess and a Google Sitemap using the PS' 1.3.7.0 Google Sitemap Module. I use that module because the last version of the module, doesn't generate /it products. having same products with /en and /it in the URL is a problem for indexing? Maybe yes, i don't know much about SEO. But, if the answer is "no", the other question is: having same products in multiple categories is a problem? Because i've them. In Preferences->SEO&URLs i've set "Yes" to Canonical URL. And finally, i don't know why when i send a new sitemap, from 2 days after to 5 days after i receive a lot of visits, then they fall. Suggestions? Thanks!
jeyjoo
As far as SEO is concearned, you want to optimize your Italian an English pages seperately, and so have a seperate canonical URL. For example if you have a page selling Italian wine, you want to optimize the english and Italian pages seperately: www.myshop.com/en/italian_red_wine.html (and optimise for "italian red wine") www.myshop.com/it/vino-rosso.html (and optimise italian page for "vino rosso") Hope this helps
