syl
Hello, I m creating a store that I adapt an existing design. So i need to change the .tpl files. A problem: changing the code files. tpl does not affect the design of the site, don't know why. I work locally (easyphp) and I am sure to change the right files, ie such themes \ prestashop \ footer.tpl, or header.tpl. DWT on a module. Even by removing all the code has no effect ca. By cons, changing his name (footerx.tpl) ==> prestashop detects it, so what are the correct files. Something has to escape .... Someone to help me there:) ? Thank you in advance. indus
Hi You need to enable force compile from back office > preferences > performance , then refresh the page to see any changes you make to any template file. Good luck !

indus
I had this problem too, Thank you Indus, worked like a charm! Make sure to set force compile to 'off' once you have finished with your modifications, else the site will load slowly.
in53ktin
That's true!!! you can go either to the directory /tools/smarty/compile and /tools/smarty/cache and delete all the archives unless index.php =P
