[SOLVED] fedexcarrier module not installed successfully

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was having issues with the FedEx module giving an authentication failed error when trying to configure. After speaking to FedEx and them telling me that the production key and meter numbers I was using were correct, I called Prestashop to see about what address needed to be in the address section, the billing address or the shipping address? They suggested trying both and see if I still get them same error. Yes, same error. They told me to uninstall the module and then reinstall and see if I get the same authentication failed error. I did this and when I click on install I get an error saying:

The following module(s) were not installed successfully:

  • fedexcarrier

I deleted the fedexcarrier folder via FTP and reuploaded a clean folder from the prestashop download. Same error.

Prestashop sent me the fedexcarrier zip file to try and reupload. Same error.

Any ideas? I am ready to pull my hair out.

We upgraded to v. 1.4.6.2 after having issues with our orders not showing up in the back office when people checked out with authorize.net. Since the upgrade it has been error after error. Hoping that when we get this shipping issue resolved we do not have the authorize.net issue, but I am not very hopeful.

Anyone know what I can do to get this module to install successfully?

Thanks!

Jen

I installed our old FedEx shipping module and generated a new production key via FedEx to test. The production key/meter number/password work fine, but I cant get it to configure properly on the old module (get a "not available" message when in the front office). If only I could get the fedexcarrier module to install again to try this new production key. I have spent about 3 hours on this tonight, far more than I should be spending.

Hi Mike,

We didn't do a backup of the store after upgrading, yet. We were going to wait until the modules were installed and configured properly. Bad idea, I guess.

All I did was click uninstall and then try and click install. Nothing else. I dont understand why this is happening.

Thanks!

And did you upgrade manually, or using our new AutoUpgrade module? What version did you upgrade from? Additionally, how much have you changed since the upgrade?

I apologize for all the questions, I'm just trying to determine the best option for your business before making a recommendation.

Manually, I followed the Updating Prestashop PDF. I havent really changed much since the update, just configured a few modules. However, I had TONS of errors after the update so I had to fix all those, which was a headache. Errors with authorize.net module, errors with product images not showing up - media servers, a few other things.

I dont remember what version we had before the upgrade.

Thank you for your help Mike!

Hi Jen,

In that case, I would recommend that you restore your backup and give our AutoUpgrade module a try. It's still experimental and may not work on every server configuration, but as long as you were using version 1.3 or above, and haven't made too many core modifications, it should hopefully work for you.

Please let me know if that works any better for you.
