[HELP] - HTML editors not working

Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

... another post recommended uninstalling and re-installing the editor perhaps that would help?

I am having issues with the Add Product-Short Description HTML editor.

Formatting new paragraphs in the Add Product-Short Description HTML editor is not showing the new paragraphs when generated. Also the command to align text left seems to be over-ridden from either 'product_list.css' or 'global.css'.

I tried altering the HTML in the database "ps_product_lang" but that did not work?

Possibly the css files need tweaking or it is a program script causing the bug?

Help, someone, please...

After re-installing the whole site and searching for days I found the Short Description editor is setup not to work:

"

There are two fields dedicated to filling out a description.

The first field enables you to write a short description that will appear in search engines. This field is limited to 400 characters. The text editor's options here are useless, as HTML only uses plain text.

In the second field, you can write a full description of your product, which will appear directly on your online store. The text editor offers a wide range of options for creating visually attractive descriptions (font, size, text color, etc.).

While the second form has no limits, there is such thing as too much content: put the essential information in a compelling way, and your product should be good to go."

Hope the info helps someone...
