How do i change default language to English UK...

Hi guys,

 

im new to prestashop so pls be gentle, just installed & starting to setup my shop. the first thing i would like to do is change the default language to English UK, it seems to be in English USA atm. I am selling in the UK so want the country flag etc on my shop to be UK not USA.

Well, you can change the flag from the options for the language. After you log in to the back office of your PrestaShop, click on the Tools tab>Languages sub-tab. In the table there you'll see listed the default languages. Click on the "edit" button for English. On the page with the settings you'll see the option from which you can upload a new flag. Before that, of course, you need to have the flag image on your local computer.

 

You can use this wikipedia page to download a country flag:

The images there a bit bigger than the default image size for the flags in PrestaShop. The flags in PrestaShop have dimensions of 16x11 pixels, and the ones on the wikipedia page are with dimensions 22x11. So you'll have to resize the image just a little before uploading it.

 

After you upload it, clear the browser cache and refresh your site's frontend.

Cheers for the info..... after a lot of playing around I managed to just remove the language box from showing on my site. dissable the language module i think.

 

 

Maybe now i will check out what you suggested with changing the country flag.

i wanna made it 2 language in front page, i how do it and it's work. the problem is... how i can make other language is default in frontpage?
