email and utf8

Hello everybody,

 

I moved my site to another server. Since that time, email doesn't work with accented character. For example, if someone writes "René DUPONT" then sendmail doesn't send then email because the address is not good (as if email address is rene.dupont@...). If I look at the mail.log, sendmail says that the adresse "Ren\0370 DUPONT rene.dupont@..." is not valid.

Is it php or sendmail that I have to configure ? In that case, where and how can I do it ?
