jay9898
Does anyone know how to get state selection to work when creating an account, ajax is broken so it will not show when selecting the country, is there a workaround to this?
Dave L
Presumably you have the 'Contains states' option enabled in each Country.
jay9898
yes, the 'Contains states' option is enabled in each Country. Do you know how to make the state selection always visible instead of hidden? This is only for the US.
Dave L
The only other thing that comes to mind is the address format in edit country. Do you have states included here?
jay9898
Yes, I also have state:name in the address format, I created a new theme and I still have the same problem, do you know if there is any file I can manually edit in the back end, I need this to work for the paypal module to work. Dave L
Have you had the problem since first installing presatshop? Assuming the problem exists with the default presatshop theme you could try replacing the following files from your prestashop download: root folder: address.php addresses.php theme folder: address.tpl addresses.tpl files Not sure if the authentication.php and authentication.tpl files impact the address input but it wouldn't hurt to try. If you rename the existing files prior to uploading the new files you can always revert back if you have issues as a result. When editing/replacing .tpl files you should 'force compile' for any changes/differences to take affect.
jay9898
I went through each file, and it stops working after i modify header.tpl, is there another file i should modify instead?
Dave L
Why would you be modifying header.tpl?
defensetechga
Does anyone know how to get state selection to work when creating an account, ajax is broken so it will not show when selecting the country, is there a workaround to this? I had same issue where state wasn't showing and when a customer would add address a fatal error would occur. I all boiled down to the country setting. the area where you input fields is highly sensitive about the order in which they are listed Here is what I have try this and see if this solves your issue firstname lastname company address1 address2 city, State:name postcode Country:name phone
