killianbay
Looking for some ideas how to modify a forced ship-to address in the checkout process. This website is for a firearms store. The store will be selling guns, knives, accessories, ammo, gift certificates, instructional classes, etc. LEGALLY, if purchasing a GUN, however, he can ONLY SHIP to another licensed dealer in the customer's area, and the customer will need to pickup the gun from their local dealer of choice. I have the data file of the firearms dealers address/info, and plan to enter into the database and it will be maintained and updated monthly. My idea I would like to brainstorm if anyone is willing: Adding an additional 'checkout step' that would only happen if there were a "firearm" present in the shopping cart at the start of the checkout process. Here are the objectives: If there is a (tagged) 'firearm' in the cart at checkout, a list of licensed dealers will show, and the customer MUST select a licensed dealer from the list in order to complete the checkout. If the cart has a combination of products (ex: firearm and ammo), it would be 'split-shipped', with everything going directly to the customer except the firearm. ANY thoughts or ideas to point me in the right direction would be VERY appreciated. THANK YOU!! Kiley
Richard S
You would need additional module with some core modifications of your theme for this as I think there are not any module like that.
