randulo
Hi,Has anyone come up with a solution for the complex taxes needed to sell wine between France, Belgium, Holland and the UK/Ireland? This is a tax calculated on the volume of liquid and the amount depends on the country to ship to.Each country has a value that, when multiplied by the number of litres in the shipment will give the extra tax. This needs to be added to the total AND shown in the template. This means that every available product needs its volume in the database. SOme countries have NO tax, others have different values.Has anyone done anything like this or found someone who has worked on anything similar? If programmers are watching, please contact me about this. Thanks in advance,r
popres
Well the policy within EU at least, with exception of the world's last Soviet-state Sweden, is that tax on alcoholshould be paid in the country of purchase. So you don't need to worry, if you run out of say Holland, then EU customers pay Dutch VAT on your goods and you don't have to deal with VAT rules of your customer's countries. If you sell to Sweden then its more trouble because they refuse to abide to EU laws, but I guess that isn't an issue ?
