itcwebman
Is it possible to duplicate these? I have lots of Main product types that suit certain models which i have set as sub categories, but I would like to duplicate for all the main categories (and there is quite a few!) Mike Kranzler
Hi itcwebman, I'm not sure whether or not I understand you correctly, but just to check, are you looking to list the same product under multiple subcategories? -Mike
itcwebman
Hello Mike Sorry, no. I am selling different products that are each compatible with a range of models. e.g. a bike tyre that would fit 3 models. I basically want to copy the 3 models under each parent (product - e.g. the tyre) catergory. Hope that makes sense -Richard
Mike Kranzler
Hi Richard, To me, it still sounds a bit like what I was posting above. Could you maybe go into a little more detail about the structure of these products (categories, subcategories, products, etc.) so that I can be sure we're on the same page before suggesting a solution? -Mike
itcwebman
Mike Sorry for the confusion. I am selling mobile accessories. I have a few main categories e.g. Covers, Screen guards, Chargers Below one of these catergories I have compatible models - e.g: Nokia, LG, Blackberry and so on. It is these categories that I want to copy to the parent catergories above. I want to copy these before loading products as obviously products are parent catergory related. Does that make it a bit clearer? -Richard
Mike Kranzler
Ah I see. Unfortunately, you cannot apply a single subcategory to multiple parent categories due to potential database issues. For more information on this, I would recommend you check out this thread. -Mike
itcwebman
yes, I realise that. I can't do that anyway as the products would appear under incorrect parent catergories. What I really wanted to know was if I could copy the sub category structure (not content). it seems like this is not possible though... I will have to spend time typing! impie
Hi Mike, maybe you can help... I have problems with (sub)categories. First categorie I can view, but if I try to go to the nect page or subcategorie I get the message 'There are no products.' while there are a lot of in there. The link isn't right because it has something extra like thiscategory.php?id_category=44#/ If I delete #/ all things goes fine. Where can I cange this? I work with PS 1.4.6.2 With older versions there wasn't any problem... Thanks in advance, Imm

Mike Kranzler
Hi Mike, here is a link... http://www.dvdquick....?id_category=10 Category appears. If you click for next (2 or volgende) you get a message no products... (downunder) thanks for quick reply Hi Imm, This is often due to an improper configuration of your Layered Navigation module. Can you please try disabling it and let me know if that looks any better on your end? -Mike
