I have more of the same courier rates based on weight ... Where can I find a step by step?? regards max
Dave L
I agree that the shipping sytem in prestashop is poorly documented and may not be the best but it is both comprehensive and effective. It is very flexible and you can be creative with it. Shipping is based on zones. You can used the included zones or create your own. The countries you ship to are associated to a zone. Any shipping option for a zone will apply to all the countries associated to that zone. Carriers are assigned to zones. When you set up a carrier you also select the zones that carrier will deliver to. Once a carrier is created you can set up price or weight ranges which this carrier will use to calculate the shipping eg. a weight or price range will be something like: Price range $0 - $10 $10 - $25 $25 - $50 $50 - $100 Weight range 0kg - 10kg 10kg - 25kg 25kg - 50kg 50kg - 100kg Once the price or weight range has been created you can apply the fee you will charge for each price or weight range for each active zone like: Price range Zone 1 - $0 - $10 = $2.00, $10 - $25 = $3.00, $25 - $50 = $5.00, $50 - $100 = $7.50 Zone 2 - $0 - $10 = $2.50, $10 - $25 = $3.50, $25 - $50 = $5.60, $50 - $100 = $8.50 Zone 3 - $0 - $10 = $5.50, $10 - $25 = $9.50, $25 - $50 = $15.60, $50 - $100 = $18.50 Weight range Zone 1 - 0kg - 10kg = $2.00, 10kg - 25kg = $3.00, 25kg - 50kg = $5.00, 50kg - 100kg = $7.50 Zone 2 - 0kg - 10kg = $2.50, 10kg - 25kg = $3.50, 25kg - 50kg = $5.50, 50kg - 100kg = $8.50 Zone 3 - 0kg - 10kg = $6.00, 10kg - 25kg = $10.00, 25kg - 50kg = $15.00, 50kg - 100kg = $24.50 Now when a customer adds an item to the cart and checks out the the registered address confirms the zone, the carrier for that zone is confirmed, the item is compared to the price or weight range and the fee is applied. If your items price or weight falls outside of the price or weight range the carrier will either be disabled or the highest fee for that price or weight range will be applied, depending on the setting you choose when setting up the carrier. All settings are made in the BO on or under the shipping tab.

Dave L
Believe me, your English is a lot better than my Italian. Unfortunately I don't speak or read Italian but I will try to help best I can. Can you explain what you are trying to acieve from your shipping. 1. What does your Corriere Expresso charge per kg? How do you want to charge? Is it 0kg - 1kg, 1kg - 2kg, 3kg - 4 kg or something different. 2. What does your Express Currier charge per kg? How do you want to charge? Is it 0kg - 1kg, 1kg - 2kg, 3kg - 4 kg or something different. For example Italy 0kg - 10kg = EUR2.00 10kg - 25kg = EUR3.00 25kg - 50kg = EUR5.00 50kg - 100kg = EUR7.50 Once we establish this we can move on to the next step. Dave L
sorry but what is this configuration?? This configuration is where you define what the fee will be for each price range in each zone In this case the carrier Corriere Expresso will charge EUR0.00 for any item whose weight is between 0 kg and 0.5kg when shippig to the Italy zone. masmaz
very thank Dave L for you cooperations ok I'll explain .. Unfortunately, my client has many tariffs Italy: 0-0.5kg € 7.90 0-3kg € 10 4-10kg € 15 11-30kg € 22 europe + africa 0-0.5kg € 18 0-1kg € 25 2-10kg € 22 I HOPE THAT THIS POST IS TO MANY TO REMOVE ALL DOUBT ON THE CONFIGURATION OF SHIPMENTS
masmaz
Another problem is the distinction between Italy and its cities that are set here in europe are notdistinct from other European cities .... then I think the city should be set up with Italian ZONE = ITALY and Europe
Dave L
very thank Dave L for you cooperations ok I'll explain .. Unfortunately, my client has many tariffs Italy: 0-0.5kg € 7.90 0-3kg € 10 4-10kg € 15 11-30kg € 22 europe + africa 0-0.5kg € 18 0-1kg € 25 2-10kg € 22 I HOPE THAT THIS POST IS TO MANY TO REMOVE ALL DOUBT ON THE CONFIGURATION OF SHIPMENTS Hi, OK, so if I buy an item which is 0.4kg I have two options, one is EUR7.90 and the other EUR10.00. would this be standard delivery and express? or do you mean to say: Italy: 0-0.5kg € 7.90 0.5kg-3kg € 10 4-10kg € 15 11-30kg € 22 Now what about an item which is 3.5kg? There is no option for that! the same with say 10.5kg. The only time you would set up this way is if you know that no products fall outside of the weight range here and that purchases of multiple items would also not fall outside of these weight ranges. If you have the following weight range only one carrier is required. Italy: 0 - 0.5kg = € 7.90 0.5kg - 3kg = € 10 3 - 10kg = € 15 10 - 30kg =€ 22 The same process should be applie for Europe + Africa and a configuration like this is very easy to set up. Let me know before we go any further.
Dave L
Another problem is the distinction between Italy and its cities that are set here in europe are notdistinct from other European cities .... then I think the city should be set up with Italian ZONE = ITALY and Europe I don't quite understand what you mean here. There are no city configurations in the shipping. However, if you are referring to states (provinces) then these are assigned to both their country and zone. In your case you have set up a zone for Italy and any states within Italy should also be set to the Italy zone.
masmaz
I solved for the recognition between Italy and Europe ... but I have not resolved the issue of weight... I did a simulation with some products within the first 3kg and then up to 8kg rates are now set as follows: 0-3kg = 8.90 euros 4-10kg = 12 euros unfortunately I always read the first rate from 0-3kg = 8.90 euros ... anceh giving other options ..... as in the photo ....
