focused
Has anyone else suddenly "lost" their shop - i.e. your actual website is up and running, but if you click on a link, or type your shops URL into the address bar, you get a "page not found" - even though you KNOW it's on the server and has been loading fine? This is the third thing that has "mysteriously" happened in the space of four days - on 6th Jan I couldn't create a customer account - and still can't - because 2 days later I couldn't get into the back office - and still can't - and on 10th Jan I "lost" my shops visibility altogether - and still can't see it! I emailed [email protected] and the email bounced so I contacted Prestashop on their contact form (which was acknowledged on screen after submitting) - but have not heard anything since then - I'd be interested to know if anyone else is experiencing similar problems to those above? tomerg3
Did you turn on friendly URLs in Preferences->SEO and did not generate a .htaccess file?

tomerg3
I get this in Chrome http://screencast.com/t/O53u5JiDM It look like something was messed up in the configuration of PS, as it tries to redirect to an invalid page.
focused
Hi Tomerg3, I don't use Chrome - and I've tried calling it up in IE8 and Firefox - both give the same result - no shop visible. Any ideas how I can access back office, or should I scrap the lot and start again ?
Dave L
The link in your post gives me an error page but clicking the Buy Products link on your website takes me to http://herbal-nutrition.net/iankirk Are you aware of this or have you been hacked? focused
Hi Dave Yes - sorry, should have mentioned that - it's OK - The link in the menu bar is to the shopping cart that I am moving away from - it's too cumbersome for customers - I've kept the site linked to the old cart until I've got the new Prestashop cart working. That's why I put the link to the Prestashop Shop in the message above (if that makes sense!) Thank you for your diligence in flagging up a possible hack though - it's very good of you. Kind regards. Dave L
ah, OK, thats good then. It's strange that this should happen. If you have access to your files maybe you could check the settings.inc.php You could also try renaming your .htaccess file (rather than delet so you can rename back again if it's not the problem). Sorry I can't help further with your problem. Hopefully you'll get some more response to your post.
focused
Thanks Dave - yes, I've kept a copy of the original files, I have checked the settings.inc.php and the config files against the originals and they look OK - however, I will take a look at the .htaccess file - it's a good idea and well worth a try. Thanks for your help Dave - we'll probably chat on my next problem hey? - if there's a bug or a problem I always find it - shame I don't always know how to fix it - I'd probably make a fortune!! (ha-ha!) Once again, thank you very much indeed for your input.
Dave L
Let us know if you get it sorted. Good luck.
El Patron
when I navigate to your store, I get www.healthyinlife.com__ps_base_uri__. This leads me to beleive that your settings.inc.php is coded incorrectly. Does your setting.inc.php look like this? define('__PS_BASE_URI__', '/store/');
focused
Hi Elpatron. Thank you for taking a look - I have checked my setting.inc.php and it reads identical to yours. Thank you for raising the point though, it is very much appreciated.
El Patron
I'm no expert, but I get this in firefox when I try to go to your url/store/. It appears you been hacked or at least reported as a containing malicous software. If you don't have much invested in the ps install...it might be a good idea to delete it and re-install. Also you may want to visist google webmaster tools, as google has determined that your site contains malicous software. Best of luck!
