Dave L
Wow! you give up easy!! You haven't even asked a question yet, this is your first post. What back office software are you trying to install? Perhaps if you explained what your problem is and asked some questions you might just get some answers. rubuka
Hey Dave, I haven´t even got the software up yet (after 2 days of trying)--- the problem is getting the files up to the remote server with filezilla...but each time after the upload, I can´t access the domain page...unavailable, forbidden etc.. once I was there and was told to rename admin file, which I did..but still nothing..started again.. I´ve run out of questions, accept, what the heck am I doing wrong?..lol... Chris
Dave L
Hello Chris. You don't need to give up. There is loads of information on the forum and plenty of people who can advise. Ok, let's see if we can get you sorted. It seems you have managed to complete the installation once given you got the message to rename your admin folder. I'm assuming after that you can see the front office. Once you rename your admin folder your back office is no longer where it was so you reach it in the new 'renamed' location. So, when you install your prestashop site in yourdomain.com and before renaming the admin folder, the back office is at yourdomain.com/admin If you rename your Admin folder to say abcadmin your back office location is now yourdomain.com/abcadmin Let me know if this helps and/or you have any more questions.
rubuka
But yet, the problem persists... Everything is now installed and uploaded to the server....the front office is available and where it is supposed to be... The word admin on the remote server has been changed to eg domain/prestashop/abcadmin/login.php yet still when navigating to this page all I repeatedly get is the security warning, for security reasons please change admin file name. Am I still missing the plot ???? All I want is the software up so that I can experiment so as to start asking some really stupid questions....lol
Carl Favre
Hi rubuka, Before giving up, as Dave L said, just ask . We are here to help. Is it possible for you to send me in PM your back-office and FTP credentials so I can take a look?
