Andrew H
HiI updated to v1.1 about 6 weeks ago. Around 2 weeks ago sales in my store nose-dived to practically nothing at all...In the interim I had changed very little on the site itself but the other day noticed the prestashop-produced sitemap was duplicating each page about 5 times (and I noticed a number of errors relating to redirected pages) and only 12 of 100s of pages indexed by google.I've replaced the sitemap with one I generated on a free site and the number of pages indexed on google has gone up to 150 so far of about 300.I'm not an SEO expert, but does anyone know if a bad sitemap can cause this kind of "disaster"? -before I try and make other changes to the site and potentially make things even worse.Any advice appreciated!! -btw, hope that problem with the sitemap gets resolved -i tried a work-around i found on the site but that didn't seem to work...thanksAndrew

Andrew H
I still haven't resolved my own issue but I used http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ to generate the sitemap.if you don't want the languages indexed in the sitemap, you should switch off extra languages before running the above and reinstate after. You can then copy/paste the xml contents into your prestashop sitemap.xml file and re-save.This isn't an official solution, just what I did to get around the problems I had with the PS sitemap plugin.thanksAndrew
Trip
Hi,I think this is an interesting topic. The last weeks I saw my keywords constantly dropping in google index although I made efforts to optimize my page and improved link-popularity. It is hard to determine the reason. I updated now my sitemap module to the 1.3 svn version and use another tool from the svn-version (which is new) to avoid duplicate content. I couldn't see a difference in the generated sitemap but I just had a quick look.Anyway I will have a look if there is a change in SERP's and post my results.Maybe someone made experience if it is better to disable additional languages. I have enabled 3 languages for the interface translation but I am quite shure that it is better to run different shops optimized for specific countries (despite the fact that it needs more efford).Greetz, Trip

kkshop
I have used http://www.editix.com/Just create sitemap in your prestashop, download it from your FTP to your pc and there open it in EditX, click Search,FInd and Replace. You can replace here lang content and use only empty place. Then reuploud your sitemap to your site.If you have any problem ask me
