Paul Crompton
Hello, This may seem a silly question but if you don't know (I don't) you don't know. In preferences > URL's set up > PS directory what goes in there. The WWW directory on c-panel is WWW Directory /home/abbreviation of shop name/public_html Is it that abbreviation that is required or literally the shop name fern-jewellery.co.uk or something that I am missing. Thanks for any help Paul
Carl Favre
Hi Paul, In which folder have you uploaded PrestaShop ? At the root of public_html ? In public_html/prestashop ?
Paul Crompton
Hello Carl, I use FileZilla to load into public_html I can't really see anything else to load it into, unless you are saying I should create a folder in public_html and load it into that? May have my stupid head on today! The site works ok it is just that I am having a problem writing a friendly url for the index page. http://www.fern-jewellery.co.uk Thanks, Paul
Carl Favre
By default it should be "/" is it not the case ?
Paul Crompton
No, it was just a / but I have now put the quotation marks in. Paul Edit: putting the quotes in resulted PS directory incorrect value and the page went to as though no style was applied. Have now taken the quotes out. This is the instruction on the page: Name of the PrestaShop directory on your Web server, bracketed by forward slashes (e.g., /shop/)
Carl Favre
You must not put the quotation mark, it was good with / only .
Paul Crompton
I said I had my stupid head on. The quotes were just you quoting!
