URL'S set up

Recommended Posts

Hello,

This may seem a silly question but if you don't know (I don't) you don't know.

In preferences > URL's set up > PS directory what goes in there. The WWW directory on c-panel is

WWW Directory /home/abbreviation of shop name/public_html

Is it that abbreviation that is required or literally the shop name fern-jewellery.co.uk or something that I am missing.

Thanks for any help

Paul

Hello Carl,

I use FileZilla to load into public_html I can't really see anything else to load it into, unless you are saying I should create a folder in public_html and load it into that? May have my stupid head on today!

The site works ok it is just that I am having a problem writing a friendly url for the index page.

http://www.fern-jewellery.co.uk

Thanks,

Paul

No, it was just a / but I have now put the quotation marks in.

Paul

Edit: putting the quotes in resulted PS directory incorrect value and the page went to as though no style was applied. Have now taken the quotes out.

This is the instruction on the page:

Name of the PrestaShop directory on your Web server, bracketed by forward slashes (e.g., /shop/)
