focused
Gee Guys - this is NOT my week! After my other problem, suddenly, I cannot log in to my back office - the first error message said there was "no employee of that name in the datablase" (there is only one name in the daabase - the one I have been using since I started with Prestashop 2 months ago). I've not seen anyone else report this problem on the forum, so I looked through Prestashops documentation and found a "fix" by using "MD5" to change the password in the database and have followed all the instructions to the letter. Have also cleared all cookies and cache etc. and tried to log-in again - but now I get a similar error that reads as follows: There is 1 error Employee does not exist or password is incorrect. Has anyone else got the same problem - and have you managed to fix it? If so, would you be so kind as to tell me how - please!! Many thanks
Dave L
Can you not use the lost password link? I saw a post by Mike a few days ago explaining how to get around this. If I remember he suggested creating a new account in your FO. Go in to your database and find it in the customer tables. Then copy the encrypted password and paste i into your empoyee tables. The log in to the BO using the password you used to make the FO account. He was a bit more specific by naming the tables in question, so you could do a search for the post.
focused
Thanks for replying PrestaShop Addict - Yes, I've tried that as I found the instructions in Prestashop's documentation - (under the "Troubleshooting" section with the heading "How to regenerate a password and upate the database manually") just in case anyone else has the same problem. Unfortunately it's not worked for me - I'm still locked out of my back office - but it may work for someone else. Thank you very much for your input though, it's very kind of you and much appreciated.
