authentication error. Customers can't log back into their accounts after logging out

I’ve tried everything I can think of. I have a new install, checked and I’m php5.2.5
Set up folders changed from 777 to 755.

Everything appears to be working except returning customers can’t log in!!

Initially, customers can create accounts, order, products deliver ok (digital),….
PROBLEM: If customer logs out, they get authentication error if they attempt to log back in.

I haven’t enabled friendly url, so should have had to do anything with htaccess.txt etc.

Anyone have any tips?

I got your message but for some reason, unable to reply via the messaging system/pm.
The good news is that my site is working now, the bad news is that I have to re-install PS.
After having searched for some sort of support to my problem, I was unable to find anything that would correct the error nor did I receive a solution through the forums.

I'm sorry not to be able to help you with a viable solution but as mentioned, in my case I simply re-installed and all is in order at the moment.
