focused
Hi Guys, I've spent the last two months creating an online shop using PrestaShop - and I think it's great - however, I've just hit a snag - went to test all the links throughout the site and horror of horrors, the only one that doesn't work so far is the Customer Create Account / LogIn section - the very one I need!!!! I keep getting There are 3 errors : last_passwd_gen is required. date_add is required. date_upd is required. There are no fields blank - I've filled in everyone, even the non-starred (obligatory) fields. ???? I've spent three days now lookiing for the reason, but cannot find a solution. Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, would you be kind enough to tell me how to fix it please? Many thanks
Mike Kranzler
Hi focused, In your Back Office, can you please go to Customers > Addresses and check the bottom of the page to see if the boxes for those three values are checked? My guess is that they are, and if you uncheck them that should resolve your issue. I hope this helps. -Mike
focused
Hi Mike Many thanks for your response - I did as you said and called up Customers > Addresses and none of the boxes were checked. I then cleared all cookies and cache and tried again- but it was still the same. I decided to call up Customers > Addresses again to make sure and inadvertantly only clicked on CUSTOMERS - and there is the same drop down boxes on that page too - and some of those boxes WERE ticked - I cleared all boxes and tried again and I have managed to create an account!! ...... BUT ... I cannot log in with the details I put in the account! I've even added a "customer" manually through the back office and tried that - but it still doesn't work even though the software appears to go through the process. I'm sure it's something silly that I've done (or haven't done!) - so if you could point me in the right direction again I would be very much obliged. Thank you very much
Mike Kranzler
Hi focused, What sort of error message or result do you get when you try to log in through this customer account? -Mike
focused
Hi Mike Sorry for delay - got interrupted - but No, I get no error message, the program appears to process the request (green bar at bottom shows this to be the case) and the email address and password disappear from the "Already Registered" log in box ..... but if i try to add a product to the cart, the product slides over, but does not show up in the cart. Also, if I try to add a product to my WishList, a message comes up that I am not Logged In. I have checked the customer list and the three "customer" names I have put into the account are there, and look OK - but none of them are accepted when logging in. I'm mystified and cannot see why this should happen - but unfortunately it is. Sorry to be a pain - but I really don't understand why. Many thanks for trying to help - most impressed! Mike Kranzler
Hi focused, Based on your username, it's a little ironic that you got interrupted . Can you please post your URL so that I can create a customer account and test this for myself? -Mike
