Carrier Delay Text - Automatically Update?

Hello all

 

I've started adding the delivery date to the 'Delay' text box for each carrier so that customers can see a definite delivery date. As I don't really want to have to change this every day (I know I'll forget half the time and it'll cause me problems), could there be any way of automatically updating this - some sort of module perhaps?

 

Also, can I make this delivery date appear on customers' order confirmation email and invoice (without the invoice changing when the date for that carrier changes each day)?
