Minimum Purchase Total Shown Without Tax

Recommended Posts

Hi

I've asked this before but recieved/found no answer, can anybody please help me, did anybody even solve this problem? (I'm seting up a v1.4.6.2 but I have the same problem in a v1.4.5.1)

I want a minimum order of 200Kr (incl. tax of 25%) so I set the min. order in the BO to 160Kr (excl. tax). The customer though gets notified that they need 160Kr (which is the same as without tax) in the FE. Dosn't the customer need to know the price with tax, or am I thinking wrong?

Regards

The BO clearly states that the minimum purchase total required excludes tax. So if you set 160Kr as minimum, customer will be told 160Kr. If you want minimum including tax to be 200Kr set it to 160Kr as you did now. The customer will know the price with tax, i.e. once they added 160Kr worth of items to the cart and proceed to checkout the tax will be added and they will see the 200Kr cart total.

Thanks for replying, Phrasespot

I realise what your saying but it not me that needs to understand but the customer that needs to understand the message given! The message is confusing to the customer, as the minimum order price is given without tax!

Would it not be better it was given with the "default" lands tax added i.e. in my case Swedish VAT (moms), pointing out to the customer that its based on the Swedish tax but the quanity required to reach the minimum order could differ depending on the final shipping addresses taxes and therefore can only finally be seen in the checkout, (or something like that)!

It confuses a customer to get such a message and then hope (as you correctly point out) they can work it out themselves ang go back to the check out to find out.

We have over 13000 customers, of which the majority of them are middle aged or over, in other words at lot of them get easly confused using the net, so I think with the solution (message) as it is now, quite a few will give up there and then!

So, back to my original question. I understand now that it is presented without tax (Its not a configuring fault/or bug). Do you, by any chance, know of a work around to present it with tax incl. or is the only solution for me to edit the text message to make it more understandable to the customer.

Thanks, in advance
