Smarty Adding Unwanted Indents

I'm pasting into smarty as plain text. The moment I start to format it I get indents. I haven't clicked on the indent button and the indent that's being created is smaller than you would get from clicking the indent button.

 

Displays this way in the shop too.

 

Have tried pasting from word, but that's ten times worse with text misaligned all over the place.

I am assuming this does not happen when you just type. The most common reason of unexpected formatting is the invisible characters or formatting instructions in the copied text. This can happen if you copy-paste from web documents, PDFs, Word etc.

 

Are you sure that there is not an invisible space character at the beginning of the content you copy to the clipboard? First paste clipboard contents into a plain-text document, e.g. Notepad, then copy from there and try pasting into PrestaShop rich editor.
